Rural?? I live in Collin County TX, 1 million population.


A week ago we peaked at 30 hospitalized. Yesterday we were down to 20. Out total deaths is 10, and as of yesterday 19 new cases & 200 total “active” cases.

The doomsday’s side keeps complaining about testing, but I fail to see how increased testing would change the number of dead or hospitalized.

I’ve read several stories about layoffs all over Texas at hospitals & clinics. The ER’s at several of the biggest hospitals are seeing 30% the normal traffic. There’s a big clinic close to me. They’ve had tents setup for a month. I’ve yet to see more than 2 cars total in the parking lots & the tents are clearly empty.

My annual appointment with my dermatologist had to be moved - clear to September. They called me yesterday to see if I’ll do a virtual Appt. The dr is usually 6 months out on appts. They have to be desperate if they can get me on a virtual Appt 1 day out.
